Light yellowish-brown in colour, this wood tends to oxidize easily, taking on a uniform brown-greyish shade. Although it is a particularly hard wood, iroko provides excellent resistance both inside and outside, so it is suitable for medium and large flooring spaces of medium/high pedestrian frequency, in private, residential and public contexts. Its particular structure and specific weight of 650 kg/m3 make this wood characteristically hard while also being malleable and easy to work.
