General description:
This wood is often used as a low-cost alternative to walnut and cherry in furniture and doors. There is an obvious difference between sapwood and heartwood.
Sapwood: cream white
Heartwood: from yellow-brown to olive green.

Specific weight: dried 460 kg / m³

Mechanical properties:
Static bending strength: 700 kg / cm²
Compressive strength: 382 kg / cm²

Histological Structure:
Grain: straight.
Texture: from medium to fine.

Treatability: sapwood is treatable, heartwood is moderately treatable.

Processing:
Sawing: easy.
Drying: easy if it is slowly dried.
Planing: has to be done carefully.
Gluing: easy.
Nailing and screwing: easy.
Finishing: no big difficulties.

Main uses:
Interior furniture, joinery and interior coating, packaging and toys.
